"If you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness, and you night will become like the noonday.”    Isaiah 58:10

Jesus did not come to be served; He came to serve. We look to Jesus as our model of servant-leadership and believe each individual in the body of Christ has a place to serve. Our desire is to be the Body of Christ, being active ambassadors of his love by reaching out to the lost, poor, and oppressed in our community. We have developed ministries for the members of our church and community that meet a variety of spiritual and practical needs. We desire to share the resources the Lord has given to us so that all may come to the saving knowledge of Jesus. We believe Christ is still healing and saving His people and we consider it a great honor to be used by God in this sovereign work.

Below you will find a listing of the opportunities to to serve Christ in our community and the contact person for more information.

email: the_lins@yahoo.com

The Barth Hotel is a low-income assisted living facility located in the city of Denver at 17th and Blake.  Since November of 1998, CITC has been a monthly presence at The Barth, providing a worship service and message from the Bible, and afterwards visiting with the residents to fellowship and build relationships over snacks, and to pray for their needs.  For the less mobile residents, this is one of their few opportunities to have church come to them.  The majority of residents are elderly. Generally the volunteer team from Church in the City goes to Barth Hotel on the 4th Sunday of each month at 2:00pm.
