Ever notice how some people seem to be in a permanent state of “summer vacation,” while others feel like they’re stuck in “winter” forever? Life has a way of throwing us into different seasons, and not all of them are filled with sunshine and beach trips. This past weekend, Michael Walker’s message, “A Time for Everything as We Are Being Prepared for Eternity,” encouraged us to look for God’s hand in every season of life, even the ones that feel like a cold, endless winter.
Michael pointed us to Ecclesiastes 3:4: “A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance.” He reminded us that life is full of these contrasts, but every season serves a purpose in God’s bigger plan. We might not understand why we’re in a season of mourning or waiting, but God sees what we can’t. Just like a master artist knows how to use both light and dark to create a masterpiece, God uses all the seasons of our lives to paint a picture that is beyond our wildest imagination.
Michael shared that “we’re not meant to understand every season—we’re meant to trust God in every season.” That’s a tough one, right? Because we all want answers! But what if instead of asking, “Why, God?” we started asking, “What are You trying to show me in this season?”
Think about the season you’re in right now. Is it a season of joy and laughter, or a time of tears and reflection? What do you think God is trying to teach you? Share your thoughts in the comments—your insights might just help someone else see their season in a new light!
Sometimes, God uses the hardest seasons to teach us the deepest truths. It’s like a seed buried in the dirt—nothing beautiful seems to be happening on the surface, but underground, it’s preparing to sprout. 🌱 Maybe your season feels buried right now, but remember that growth is happening even when you can’t see it.
Take a moment and reflect: Have you ever been through a season that felt pointless or painful, only to realize later that God was doing something important in you during that time? What did you learn from it? Share your story below. It might just be what someone else needs to hear today.
Let’s pray: Father, thank You for being with me in every season of life. Help me to see Your purpose in both the good times and the tough times. Open my heart to learn from each season, trusting that You are making something beautiful, even when I can’t see it yet. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Remember this: Every season has a purpose. Even the ones that feel like they’re dragging on forever are part of God’s preparation for something greater.
