Let’s start with a question: If you could live without limits, what would you do? Maybe you’d climb a mountain, write a book, start a business, or finally learn to play the bagpipes (hey, no judgment here!). Most of us dream big but then shrink back because of all the “what ifs.” But what if — and here’s a real kicker — those limits weren’t really there at all?
This week, we’re wrapping up our dive into Simon Obert’s message, “No Limits.” Simon challenged us to live like we actually believe in a limitless God. I know, easier said than done, right? But think about it. God is not limited by our circumstances, our past mistakes, or even our current struggles. He’s the God of “No Limits,” and He invites us to live that way, too!
Simon shared a quote that really hits home: “With God, your zero plus His infinity equals everything.” It’s like God’s standing there with a blank canvas, asking you to dream with Him. He’s saying, “Bring Me your nothingness, your limitations, your doubts, and watch what I can do with it.”
Remember that verse from 1 Corinthians 1:27? “But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong.” God delights in taking what the world sees as weak or insignificant and turning it into something extraordinary. It’s His favorite move!
So, here’s a thought: What would change if you lived like God’s power really had no limits in your life? What if, instead of seeing obstacles, you saw opportunities for God to show up and show off?
Imagine this: You’re about to step out of your comfort zone — maybe it’s speaking up in a meeting, inviting someone to church, or trying something completely new. And just as you start to feel that familiar flutter of nerves, imagine God nudging you, “Go ahead, I’ve got this.” Suddenly, the thing that seemed impossible feels a lot more like an adventure.
Reflect on this: Where in your life have you been living with a “limited” mindset? What would it look like to hand that over to God today? How could you start trusting that He really does have no limits?
Let’s pray: “Lord, help me to live without limits. Teach me to see my life through Your eyes, full of possibilities and potential. Show me how to trust You in the areas where I’ve placed limits on myself or on what You can do. Give me the courage to step out in faith, knowing that with You, all things are possible. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
Remember, God’s got a plan that goes way beyond what we can see. Let’s stop living like He’s limited by our circumstances and start dreaming with Him!
