🌟 Crack pots rejoice! God’s got big plans for you! In this week’s episode of CITCBA Insights, Simon Obert serves up humor and heart in his message, “God Only Uses Imperfect People.”
From his heavenly hair aspirations (Fabio, anyone?) to his down-to-earth reminders about God’s grace, Simon explores how God works through our brokenness to display His glory. If you’ve ever felt too flawed or too far gone, this episode will show you that your imperfections are exactly what qualify you for God’s work.
💡 Key insights from the episode:
- God only uses imperfect people because that’s all there is. Every single person—yes, even the “Bible greats” like Moses, Rahab, and David—was deeply flawed. Their stories prove that brokenness is not a disqualifier; it’s part of God’s plan.
- Your brokenness is where God’s light shines brightest. Like cracks in a jar, our flaws allow God’s glory to pour out. As Simon puts it, “A perfect pot keeps it all in, but a cracked one? That’s where the light escapes!”
- Comparison kills, but grace brings freedom. Stop scrolling through highlight reels on social media and thinking you’re not enough. Romans 3:23 reminds us, “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” The only standard that matters is God’s grace.
- God’s power is made perfect in weakness. 2 Corinthians 12:9 reveals God’s plan: “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” When we surrender our shortcomings, God does His best work through us.
- Your story has purpose. Whether it’s addiction, loss, or failure, your struggles are the very thing God will use to bring hope to others. Simon reminds us, “Your mess is God’s message—it’s your unique testimony that carries authority.”
✨ Favorite Simon quote: “You’re a crackpot, but hey, so am I! And that’s why God’s light shines so bright through us.”
This episode will leave you laughing, reflecting, and feeling like your flaws are a feature, not a bug.
