Welcome back! Today, we’re diving into the next part of Paul Wilber’s message, “The 3 P’s of Warfare: Lessons From The Battlefield.” We’ve talked about praise, proclaiming truth, and partnering together, but now we’re going to take a look at the bigger picture—the spiritual battle that’s going on above us in the heavenlies.
It’s easy to get caught up in the day-to-day challenges we face on earth, but did you know that a bigger battle is happening in the spiritual realm? Paul Wilber reminded us that our struggles aren’t just physical—they’re part of a spiritual war. The Bible tells us that we don’t wrestle against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces in the heavenly realms.
“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” (Ephesians 6:12, NIV)
This verse makes it clear: there’s a lot going on behind the scenes. What we see with our eyes is only part of the story. The real battle is happening in the spiritual realm, and the good news is, we already know how it ends—we win! But that doesn’t mean we don’t have to fight. It means we fight with confidence, knowing that God is in control.
Have you ever felt like you were fighting an invisible enemy? Sometimes the struggles we face—whether emotional, spiritual, or relational—feel like they come out of nowhere. It’s because there’s a real enemy out there trying to distract and defeat us. But don’t worry, we’ve been given the tools to fight back.
Paul Wilber talked about how we can engage in this battle through prayer and praise. We’ve already learned how praise is a weapon, but prayer is equally powerful. When we pray, we engage with the heavenly realm, calling on God to move in ways that we can’t even see. Our prayers don’t just stay here on earth—they ascend to the very throne of God.
What battles are you facing right now? Have you been trying to fight them on your own? Take a moment to reflect: Are you engaging in the spiritual battle through prayer, or are you only focused on what’s happening around you?
Wilber reminded us that the enemy would love for us to think that our problems are only physical, but the truth is, there’s a deeper battle. The good news? We don’t fight alone. We have angels fighting on our behalf, and we have the power of God’s Spirit within us.
Let’s pray: Lord, help me to see the bigger picture in the battles I face. Remind me that I’m not fighting against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces. Give me the strength to fight through prayer and praise, knowing that You are always in control. Thank You for the victory that is already mine. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
The real battle is happening in the heavenlies, but we have the power to engage through prayer and praise. Remember, God is fighting for you, and the victory is already won.
